|
I left the University of Durham in 1997 with a Master of Engineering degree. Whilst there I was very involved with student theatre, working backstage and designing for many productions. These included Cyrano de Bergerac, It Runs in the Family, A Month of Sundays, Accrington Pals, Trespass, Henry V and The Wind in the Willows. I worked for two years for Montgomery Watson Limited as a design engineer in wastewater treatment before completing a Postgraduate Certificate of Education at Loughborough University. As a secondary school teacher I have taught Design and Technology, ICT and Art. School productions were the highlight of my school year and I designed Grease at Wilnecote High School and Brother Jacques and West Side Story at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Ashbourne. I was also Assistant Director for West Side Story. In 2004 I attended a scenic art summer school at RADA. In the year 2005-2006 I attended the Motley Theatre Design Course run by Alison Chitty OBE, Ashley Martin-Davis and Anthony Lamble. Since then I have been working as a freelance theatre designer and production designer: |
